PROJECT GHANA
Karpowership signed two separate 225 MW PPAs with Electricity Company of Ghana for two Powerships in Tema Harbor and Takoradi Harbor. “Power of Friendship for Ghana” is Karpowership’s first project in Africa. This agreement is a significant step towards meeting the electricity demand of Ghana’s population and industry. This is also an economical solution to Ghana’s existing electricity supply that relies on expensive crude oil, while providing local employment and valuable foreign direct investment.

Karpowership’s Ghana PPA is for a 5+5=10 year contract term with dual fuel flexibility using the lowest cost fuels, HFO and Natural Gas. The first Powership, has started its operations in December 2015 and the second Powership will be delivered within 2016.
